Welcome to OVRP's Dirt Track!
The Dirt Oval is a 1/5 mile oval track which has been operated by John Diotte, along with his wife, JoAnn, his daughter, Denise, and her husband, Chris since 2001. John has over 10 years of experience in the racing business and is one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to dirt. He was the 2007 promoter of the year announced by Tobias Slingshots. We race go-karts, slingshots, and motorcycles on most all Saturday nights in the spring, summer, and fall months. Racing can be a family oriented sport, you see many fathers and their sons or daughters, as well as brothers or sisters racing together, as well as friends. Most people get into racing because a family member or a friend currently races, which is how we got involved in the sport back in 1990. The Dirt Oval has a kart shop located directly on the facilities, JK Performance Kart Shop, which is owned and operated by John Diotte Jr. and his wife, Kasey. Important Information
On Saturday June 20th, we will be finishing the rest of the show from Saturday June 13th, not including the Slingshots, which got rained out. We will then run a shortened show of 1 heat and a feature for June 20th DOUBLE points race directly afterwards.
If you were there on June 13th AND you have your wristband, you will not have to pay for a pit pass. You will only need to pay your entry fee.
If you were not there on June 13th, you will need to pay for your pit pass and entry fee and you will not be included in the racing that needs to be completed from the following weekend.
If you are a Slingshot...you should contact Mike from Tobias directly about how the rain out will be handled since it was an Empire and National Event.
